Josef Icmen

Dear Rotary members!

We are in the autumn season now in the month of September which starts with sunny days. Lovely!

In this presidential letter you will receive information about our regular meetings that will take place during the autumn. We have also some general club information.

I begin by informing about our regular meetings during the autumn.

This week on Wednesday, September 11th at 06:00 pm, we will get a visit by our Rotary Youth Exchange student Amelie Albouy. She will hold a presentation about the history and culture of her home country Argentina. The event will take place at Impact Hub Stockholm, and if you have not registered for the event on Polaris and our social channels there is still time!

On Wednesday, September 25th at 06:00 pm, our sponsored RYLA participant for this year, Arooj Asif will give a speech about the leadership training and the experiences of participating in the training. The event will take place at Impact Hub Stockholm. Keep an eye on Polaris and our social channels as you will be able to register for this!

On Wednesday, October 9th at 06:00 pm, we will get a visit by our district governor. Something you do not want to miss! A speech will be held and the event will take place at Impact Hub Stockholm.

Besides the visit by our Rotary Youth Exchange student, the speech about RYLA by our sponsored participant and the visit by our district governor, the autumn will include visits from our club members who are abroad. We welcome them and look forward to listening to speeches from our club members who are abroad. There will also be other fun activities planned. Keep an eye on Polaris and our social channels for information and registration!

On Saturday, October 12th it is the annual district conference for 2024, that will take place at Uppsala University. You can register at district Rotary 2355's Polaris. Here is a link to the registration of the District Conference 2024.

Last but not least, we have some general club information. The club's finances are strained, we want more than we can afford and therefore all voluntary contributions are very welcome.

With that said, have a nice September and make sure to enjoy the lovely autumn sun while you can!

Best regards,

Josef Icmen
